A lot has been going on and I've been away for a long time. In that time, I've gone back to school to get my GED. Which I achieved. With honors. Now I am completing some prerequisite courses (and applying for some scholarships I'm eligible for) so that I may attend college for the spring semester to begin working on my associates degree in biotechnology.

I came up with what I think is a savvy idea for a novel the other day. I'm going to try to write it outside of school. I've been dying to work on some of my digital art, however, I've been away from my computer for months in order to accommodate for transportation to school. A family member is considering giving me a job at his internet cafe. I hope it works out so I can save a little money to buy a laptop.

Also, I think I've become obsessed with reading once again. Like when I was 14-16.

Reading books and going to the library have been all I can think about lately. For the longest time I couldn't bring myself to read a thing outside of a magazine or graphic novel. I think that was due to the suffocating influence of the people that were around me at the time. It was almost painful to see a book or think about reading it. However, those people are gone from my life now, not as much as I would like, I admit. As their lingering presence still seems to hover in my thoughts from time to time but, it's clearing away.
I checked out 7 books from the library and haven't finished any of them because I started reading them all at once. Also, there's this little shelf in the local library with books for sale. Hardcovers for $3. The temptation is so strong but... the finances are rather feeble.

Well, the pressure of my portfolio assignment tears me away right now but, I will update as soon as I have another chance. Hope all is well.
